WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Trump announced on social media his plans to impose a 25% tariff on all imported medium- and heavy-duty trucks.

The tariffs are expected to take effect on November 1.

Tariffs have been a defining factor of Trump’s second term. The Supreme Court, which recently returned for a new term, is set to review the administration’s tariff policies after two lower courts determined the president does not have the authority to impose sweeping tariffs.
