According to Deadline , Reese Witherspoon has hopped on board the movie project as a producer through her Hello Sunshine company, along with her partner Lauren Neustadter .

In addition, Jordan Weiss and Dan Brier have joined as new writers to bring the script to life. They are best known for writing the Kiernan Shipka and Nico Hiraga movie Sweethearts . Jordan also recently co-wrote Freakier Friday , and created the Hulu series Dollface !
