PUTNUM COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A missing woman has ignited an intense search in Putnam County.

Her family working, hoping and praying that they will find Britney Gard soon and that she is ok. "We're frantically like searching and calling everyone to see if they have seen or heard from her. To keep getting the word out to let her know that we're looking for her in case she sees it or hears it somehow, and that she's able to come home safe to us," said Stephanie Bowen, Gard's sister. Putnam county investigators searched the surrounding wooded area and cornfields near Gard's home on Monday, searching for answers.
