EL DORADO, AR (KNOE) - The Breast Center at CARTI says it wants to empower women to take care of their breast health through its annual Mammograms and Muffins events.

Officials say CARTI plans to make it as easy and convenient as possible for a woman to receive their annual screenings.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and doctors say it’s never too early to get screened. Dr. Stephen Routon, Breast Imaging Specialist at CARTI Cancer Center, says, “Breast Cancer is the most common cancer that affects women. The success rate when we catch cancer early is about 99%, which is a great survival rate.”

Dr. Routon mentioned yearly mammograms let doctors find early-stage cancer, allowing them to treat it earlier.
