Dwayne Johnson is speaking out after his new movie The Smashing Machine becoming his lowest opening weekend ever.

The 53-year-old actor’s latest movie hit theaters this past weekend and while A24 spent $50 million to produce the movie, it only made $6 million at the box office, according to Variety .

On Monday (October 6), Dwayne took to Instagram to react to The Smashing Machine flopping at the box office.

“From deep in my grateful bones, thank you to everyone who has watched The Smashing Machine,” Dwayne began. “In our storytelling world, you can’t control box office results — but what I realized you can control is your performance, and your commitment to completely disappear and go elsewhere. And I will always run to that opportunity.”
