The Senate is currently voting, and the Democratic continuing resolution (CR) has failed once again to end the shutdown. A vote on a Republican version is next on the agenda.

Republican congressional leaders have stated they will not negotiate on health care until the shutdown concludes. However, President Trump's involvement could potentially shift the conversation.
