ALLERTON, Bronx (WABC) -- The Bronx District Attorney revealed charges have been dropped against an 18-year-old who was arrested after a drive-by shooting in the Allerton section of the Bronx last month.

The teenager appeared in court in September on weapons charges, where he insisted he was not involved in the shooting that left one person dead and four wounded.

The teen was injured when the gunman allegedly speeding away from the shooting, crashed his car into the teenager's car.

According to the criminal complaint, on the dashboard, police found "one 45 caliber magazine and two live .45 caliber hollow point rounds" and "underneath said vehicle one 45 caliber semi-automatic pistol."

His family believes the weapons flew out of the suspect's car.
