(NewsNation) — Sean “Diddy” Combs' legal team has requested he serve his prison sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey, NewsNation's Laura Ingle confirms.
"In order to address drug abuse issues and to maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts, we request that the Court strongly recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that Mr. Combs be placed at FCI Fort Dix for RDAP purposes and any other available educational and occupational programs," Terry Geragos, one of Combs' attorneys, wrote in a letter.
Combs was sentenced to four years and two months behind bars Friday after he was convicted of two prostitution related charges. He also received a $500,000 fine.
