DALLAS — With six homicides within less than 24 hours, Dallas and DART Police chiefs say they are tracking suspects as quickly as they can, while also trying to reassure the public that the overall violent crime rate is actually down.
"It's a very unfortunate weekend," Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux told WFAA. "Any time we have that much violence in a weekend it's very unfortunate."
At 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 8800 Ferguson Road. Inside an apartment they found one person dead, identified as 23-year-old Anthony Torres. A second person was also injured.
Roughly five hours later DPD responded to a shooting with three people dead at 3800 Bernal Drive. The victims included a father and son, identified as Petro Lara Arroa, 47, and his son Pedro L
