Lahore [ Pak istan], October 6 (ANI): At least four people have died and 28 others were injured in rain-related incidents across Punjab during the past 24 hours as heavy rainfall continued to lash the province, Dawn reported on Monday, citing Rescue 1122 Punjab .

According to a weather alert issued by the Pak istan Meteorological Department (PMD) last week, a strong westerly weather system was expected to impact the upper catchments of major rivers, as well as Islamabad, Punjab , and Khyber Pak htunkhwa, bringing "heavy to very heavy wind-thunderstorms and rains" from October 5 to October 7, Dawn reported.
