The National Rugby League (NRL) has closed its 2025 season with record-breaking television and streaming audiences, highlighting both the sport’s growing popularity and Nine Entertainment in Australian sports broadcasting.

The NRL Grand Final between the Brisbane Broncos and Melbourne Storm achieved the highest Total TV audience in VOZ history, reaching 6.4 million viewers nationally and averaging 4.46 million, a 33% year-on-year increase.

The match also broke broadcast video-on-demand (BVOD) records, with 1.316 million viewers on 9Now, marking the platform’s strongest performance for any live event to date.
