Kupwara, Oct 06: District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kupwara has issued a weather advisory in light of ongoing moderate to heavy rain and snowfall in the district due to an active western disturbance.

According to a statement issued here, residents, especially those in vulnerable and hilly areas such as Keran, Karnah, Machil, and other locations near rivers, nallahs, and landslide-prone zones, have been advised to avoid avalanche-prone and slippery areas and refrain from unnecessary travel until weather conditions improve.
