A new park has opened in Perth’s growing far northern suburbs, providing much-needed green space for local residents.

Kookaburra Park in the new Elavale estate in Eglinton is the flagship feature of the new community, featuring playground equipment suited to children of all ages, bike and walking paths, and grassed areas for games and picnics.

The opening marks a key milestone in the growth of the new neighbourhood, which developers say has been designed to create strong connections between residents, with cul-de-sac streets that “naturally” encourage neighbours to interact.
