CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Elected state leaders, Tri-State law enforcement and healthcare providers are all working together toward one goal: To bring awareness surrounding gun violence.

Hamilton County House Democrats hosted a town hall Monday evening where they discussed legislative change, firearm storage, impacts on children and what people can do to help stop gun violence.

“We are in a crisis, folks. Not just in the State of Ohio but the country,” said Ohio Rep. Cecil Thomas.

Community members shared personal stories about how gun violence has impacted their lives in hopes that they can encourage others to take action in addressing current legislation and educating gun owners to practice safe storage.
