New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi-NCR as intermittent rainfall continued to drench the city and parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) through the early hours of Tuesday. The advisory was extended to all districts of the capital, while neighbouring Noida and Ghaziabad were placed under similar alerts. Gurugram and Faridabad in Haryana remain on a yellow warning, signalling lighter but persistent weather activity.

The ongoing spell, which began on Monday and persisted overnight, has been attributed to the first major western disturbance of the post-monsoon season. The system has brought steady drizzle and scattered showers across Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram, marking the onset of cooler autumnal conditions.
