MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- With ICE activity picking up all across the country, many immigrants in Memphis illegally say they're feeling the heat. And according to Indivisible Memphis, an advocacy group for immigrants, many people are afraid to leave their homes.
Indivisible Memphis took WREG on a tour of their food pantry on Monday and said the demand for supplies has never been greater.
A mother of two young children sent a message to the group saying she is afraid to go out and buy groceries because the streets where she lives are full of ICE agents.
Indivisible Memphis’s immigrant pantry was designed to provide all sorts of resources to those who reach out to the grass roots movement via their social media.
