Like most members of service organisations, Peter Kurrle's satisfaction comes from seeing the impact of his club on the community.

The Ulverstone Lions Club membership director and his club are aiming high, hoping to help both the young and old on the Coast.

On October 18, the former Sprent Recreation Ground will be turned into an auction house, where the club is looking to raise $100,000 for the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH).

Money raised from the multi-vendor farm machinery auction will go towards the purchase of four portable neonatal cots and two bariatric beds, which are used for overweight patients.

Items up for grabs include a near-new Kioti tractor, a Ford Trader truck, a Renault campervan, used farm machinery, and an aluminium runabout boat.
