Chris Kamara has found peace with the day it “all went tits up”. His memoir, Kammy: My Unbelievable Life , details the moments he realised he simply could not do the day job any more.
“My tongue felt as if it had swelled to double its size and was hanging out of my mouth,” he wrote. “The famous Kammy smile had disappeared. I was sweating profusely. Hot, prickly heat spread on my back.”
