T he Supreme Court on Tuesday (October 7, 2025) is set to hear pleas related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls for Bihar, first time after the release of the final electoral rolls.

A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Joymalya Bagchi will hear the final arguments on the validity of Bihar SIR while refusing to offer any “any piecemeal opinion” on the exercise.
