Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], October 7 (ANI): Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Tuesday condemned the shoe-hurling attempt on Chief Justice of India, BR Gavai in the Supreme Court, calling it an "insult" to the office and the Constitution.

Speaking with reporters, Parameshwara said that the action should have been taken against the lawyer who attempted to stage a show at the CJI.

"Yesterday at the Supreme Court, a lawyer attacked the Chief Justice of India and threw a shoe. This is not a matter concerning one individual. It is an insult to that office, to that position, and to the Constitution. It also shows that the security there failed. The lawyer should have been arrested immediately and legal action should have been taken. I don't know why they let him go," Parameshwar
