Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that global powers cannot afford to stand alone in an increasingly volatile world, stressing that “superpowers need allies" and that Israel remains a vital partner in confronting shared threats such as Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Speaking in an interview, Netanyahu said that even the strongest nations depend on alliances for security, technological advancement, and intelligence-sharing. “America First doesn’t mean America alone, because all countries need allies. Superpowers need allies. China has allies. Russia has allies," he said, emphasising that cooperation is key to sustaining strategic advantage.

Netanyahu made the remarks on October 7, exactly two years after the Hamas attack on Israel.
