Nothing in the history of boxing oddities seems to come close to what happened last Saturday night at the Auditorio Municipal in Tijuana, Mexico. Super lightweight boxer Angel Fierro squared off against Guadalajara’s Abraham Cordero in a 10-round boxing match inside a small hall.

Fierro, 23-4, was the clear favorite heading into the fight, but boxing doesn’t play favorites. Surprisingly, Cordero, 16-6-2, was getting the better of his more successful opponent. However, things devolved into utter madness in the 3rd round of the fight. Fierro grew frustrated and trapped his opponent in the corner, but when the bell rang, the unthinkable happened.
