Rangers chief Andrew Cavenagh is set to make another trans-Atlantic trip as he jets back from the States to take charge of the hunt for a new Ibrox gaffer. ‌

The American tycoon has set up a meeting in London on Thursday with senior Gers figures to discuss their next move after Sunday’s sacking of boss Russell Martin . ‌

The chairman will be joined at the capital summit by right-hand man and top 49ers Enterprises exec Paraag Marathe - with the pair ready to take a leading role in the managerial search. ‌

Cavenagh’s return from his Pennsylvania base comes just two weeks after he was forced to fly back to Scotland to offer Martin support as 1500 fans gathered outside Ibrox’s front door to demand the manager's removal.
