A former Glasgow favourite known for its incredible Italian cuisine is set to make an emotional return to the southside.

Much-loved restaurant Sapori d'Italia, which closed its doors for the final time on the Cathcart Road site that is now Bucks, in 2021, is heading back to Mount Florida.

The family behind the famous restaurant, husband and wife team Bruno and Simona Imbriglia and kids Francesco and Melissa, are set to take over the now vacant Hoagies spot on Cathcart Road.

Speaking about their return to where it all began for them, Bruno said: "Sapori d’Italia is preparing to reopen its doors, ready to write a new chapter in its story.
