PEORIA, Ill. (25 News) – Peoria Police say a 17-year-old boy was shot in a South Peoria neighborhood Monday night, when a dozen shots were fired.

PPD tells 25 News, officers were called to the area of W. Hayes Street and S. Folkers Avenue just before 6:20 p.m. for a ShotSpotter alert.

Police say the 17-year-old suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital. His condition was not available.

Police do not have any suspects at this time.
