Koppal: In two separate incidents, four people who were on a pilgrimage to the Huligemma Temple were killed and five others were injured in Kukanapalli of the taluk and Banapura village of Kukanur taluk.

Three victims, Annapoorna (40), Prakash (25) and Sharanappa (19), are learned to have been natives of Tallihala village of Rona taluk of Gadag district. They were reportedly on a padayatra for two days to the temple when they were run over by a private sleeper bus traveling to Bengaluru on National Highway 50 stretch in Kukanapalli.

Four injured devotees, identified as Mallikarjuna Myageri, Adappa Andi, Siddappa Andi and Kasturiyavva Myageri are being treated at the Koppal District Hospital.
