GURGAON: In a shocking incident, senior Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, holding the rank of additional director general of police (ADGP), allegedly died by suicide at his official residence in Chandigarh’s Sector 11 on Tuesday. According to preliminary information, Kumar reportedly shot himself at his government accommodation. The Chandigarh Police rushed to the spot after receiving the information and have cordoned off the area. The weapon used in the incident has been recovered, and forensic teams are conducting on-site examination. The reason behind the suicide is not yet known. “An inquiry has been initiated.
