A covert alliance between two of the region's most dangerous terror outfits, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), has reportedly been engineered by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in Balochistan, exposing Islamabad's deepening nexus with extremist organisations.

A recently surfaced photograph shows ISKP's coordinator in Balochistan, Mir Shafiq Mengal, handing over a pistol as a gift to Rana Mohammad Ashfaq, a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, signalling formal coordination between the two groups under ISI patronage.
