CENTERVILLE, Iowa —

Winning is always more fun, and there have been plenty of things to cheer about at Centerville this season. The Big Reds are ranked fifth in Class 2A and are 6-0 for the first time anyone can remember.

Heading into Friday's rivalry game at Albia, the Big Reds are outscoring opponents by an average of 21 points a game. There is no shortage of playmakers.

QB Mack Murdock is only a sophomore. He leads Class 2A in completion percentage , having completed 80 of his 103 passes for a whopping 77.7 percent clip. He has 16 touchdown passes, only one interception, and averages 225 yards per game.

Top receivers Abram Decena, Klayton Lawson, and star running back Makao Kaleponi form an explosive offense that has Centerville thinking big as the fall weather sets in.
