Indian cricket has entered a new chapter, but not without noise. Former India cricketer Manoj Tiwary has sparked a fresh controversy by openly criticising current head coach Gautam Gambhir, alleging that his influence and team environment may have played a role in the Test retirements of senior players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravichandran Ashwin.

In a recent interview with InsideSport , Tiwary didn’t hold back. He claimed that the atmosphere created under Gambhir’s leadership has become uncomfortable for experienced players – so much so that they might have felt unwanted or pushed aside.

Tiwary said, implying that decisions were being made to avoid accountability or challenges from senior voices.
