New Delhi: India’s fast growing AI market is drawing another global leader. Dario Amodei, co-founder and CEO of Anthropic, is expected to visit the country this week, according to a report by Moneycontrol. The trip comes at a time when competition between OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and Meta is intensifying, and India has become a crucial market for AI companies looking to scale.

During the visit, Amodei is likely to inaugurate Anthropic’s first India office in Bengaluru, the city widely known as the country’s tech hub. Sources also told Moneycontrol that Amodei may meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss Anthropic’s future plans and possible collaborations.
