A right-wing journalist and influencer arrested at a Portland immigration protest acted in self-defense and will not be prosecuted, a senior deputy district attorney determined.

The Monday announcement came just 2½ hours before Nick Sortor’s planned arraignment on a single count of second-degree disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, at the Multnomah County Justice Center.

Sortor, 27, was arrested Thursday alongside two left-wing protesters outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in South Portland.
