Say goodbye to the summer-like weather — the crisp, fall weather is finally arriving.

After weeks of above-normal temperatures in September and into October, this week promises to bring more of a fall feel, with a side of some much-needed rain.

Rain and cooler temperatures

Showers along with a small chance of non-severe thunderstorms are expected Tuesday through Wednesday morning as a cold front moves through the region, according to the forecaster’s discussion from the National Weather Service office in Moon.

Tuesday’s high temperatures will hover in the upper 60s to 70s, marking an end to the warmer-than-normal weather that’s gripped the region for several weeks.
