SARATOGA SPRINGS — On Tuesday night, the City Council will continue its debate and vote on a new proposal that seeks to better define Saratoga Springs’ role in defending employees named in civil or criminal actions.

“The intention of this new law is for the council to lawfully provide the widest possible scope of defense and indemnification to our city’s officers and employees acting within the scope of their public employment,” said city Mayor John Safford.
