The blockade was to begin on NH2 from midnight tonight till October 9 midnight.

The Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU), Sadar Hills, has announced the temporary suspension of its proposed 48-hour economic blockade along National Highway-2, which was scheduled to commence from the midnight of October 7 to October 9, 2025.

The decision came following an assurance from the Government of India, conveyed through the concerned district administrator, to take immediate steps toward resolving the abduction case of Kamginlen Chongloi, who was abducted at Makhan on October 2, 2025, and to strengthen security preparedness across the buffer zones.
