Demanding a fair investigation and justice in the death of Assam’s beloved artist Zubeen Garg, the Congress party on Tuesday, October 7 organized a massive candlelight march in Goalpara.

The demonstration, led by Dhubri MP Rakibul Hussain, witnessed the participation of over a thousand Congress workers, who walked through the streets of Goalpara city holding candles and chanting slogans such as “Ensure justice for Zubeen Garg’s death” and “Conduct a proper investigation into Zubeen Garg’s death.”

Addressing the media during the event, MP Rakibul Hussain alleged that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been attempting to divert the course of the judicial probe rather than ensuring a fair and transparent investigation into the mysterious death of the celebrated singer.
