NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The tenth named system of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season has formed.
Tropical Storm Jerry formed on Tuesday morning in the central Atlantic.
It has sustained winds of 45 miles per hour and is moving to the west at 24 miles per hour, according to the 10 AM advisory from the National Hurricane Center.
Interests in the Lesser Antilles should closely monitor the system as it could impact or make a close pass to the islands later this week.
Many of the hurricane models bring Jerry north before it impacts land as it turns around a weak area of high pressure in the central Atlantic, in agreement with the forecast track from the NHC.
