President Donald Trump plans to impose new tariffs on imports of medium- and heavy-duty trucks starting Nov. 1.
The tariffs will total 25%, according to Bloomberg . The new levies had previously been scheduled to go into effect Oct. 1, but they were delayed as administration officials heard appeals from companies concerned about the impact.
“Beginning November 1st, 2025, all Medium and Heavy Duty Trucks coming into the United States from other Countries will be Tariffed at the Rate of 25%,” the president posted Monday, without offering further details, according to Bloomberg.
