New Delhi/Shillong, Oct 7 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday said it has arrested three Postal Department officials for allegedly demanding a bribe equivalent to two months’ salary from a man to release his pay, which had been withheld by the department for the last ten months.

The CBI registered a case on October 4 against the three accused: Adarsh Kumar, Assistant Branch Post Master, Williamnagar, East Garo Hills, Meghalaya; N. Hemanta Meitai, Sub-Division Inspector; and Arjun Reang, Postman.

The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged based on a complaint from a Gram Dak Sevak, Block Post Master of the Rongjeng Sub-Office, East Garo Hills, Meghalaya.
