SIOUX CITY -- Briar Cliff University is hosting its sixth annual Future Education Summit on Tuesday.
The annual event invites area high school juniors and seniors to Briar Cliff to learn about becoming teachers. This year, the keynote speaker is Iowa's teacher of the year Melanie Bloom.
The event will have students from all three Sioux City high schools, Sergeant Bluff-Luton, South Sioux City, Lawton-Bronson, Woodbury Central, Dakota Valley, Elk Point Jefferson, Winnebago, Cherokee, Denison, Moville, Algona Garrigan, Akron-Westfield and Le Mars, according to a news release.
