For more than 10 years, The Big Cheese event has managed to bring restaurants, teams and families together for a fun and tasty event with a bunch of community spirit mixed into the pot. This year, the cheesy cookoff will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the Rex Baxter Building at the Tri-State Fairgrounds at 3301 SE 10 th .

Candice Kirkpatrick, executive director for The Hope & Healing Place, said that they have anywhere from 10 to 20 competitors striving to make the best macaroni and cheese in Amarillo.
