ST. PAUL — Over 100 school board members sent a letter on Monday, Oct. 6, urging Minnesota leaders and the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) to comply with the federal transgender athlete policy.

On Sept. 30, federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Health, warned Minnesota that the state would have 10 days — until Friday, Oct. 10 — to comply with the federal policy of barring transgender athletes from girls' sports.
