There are no more undefeated teams in the NFL. It's the earliest every team in the league has suffered at least one loss in more than a decade after the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles each endured setbacks in recent days. But with the 2025 NFL season almost one-third complete, established contenders and surprising ones are beginning to separate from the pack and it has led to a schedule full of intriguing Week 6 matchups.
A traditional NFC East game between the Eagles and New York Giants begins the action on "Thursday Night Football", but Sunday, Oct. 12 is when the real fun gets going. In the early afternoon window, the 1-4 Baltimore Ravens try to get off the mat against the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks hit the road to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in a game pitting two teams that look better than predicted so far.
There's a fun battle of NFC contenders headlining the late Sunday afternoon window when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs give "Sunday Night Football" a marquee matchup. There are also two "Monday Night Football" games on the docket this week (Bills at Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears at Washington Commanders).
Here is an early look at picks, predictions and odds for all of the Week 6 games on the 2025 NFL schedule:
NFL Week 6 game predictions, picks
Odds courtesy of BetMGM as of Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 11:30 a.m. ET.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants
- Date: Thursday, Oct. 9
- Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
- Location: MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, New Jersey)
- TV: None
- Streaming: Amazon Prime, NFL+
- Spread: Eagles (-7.5)
New York Post: Eagles cover
"What concerns about the Giants in this matchup is the overwhelming evidence that Big Blue is terrible against the run. Big Blue’s run defense is rated No. 32 against the run in DVOA. The Eagles run the ball 28.4 times per game, the eighth-most in the NFL, and ... they run through the Giants’ run defense."
Arizona Republic: Eagles 30, Giants 17
"The Eagles led the Denver Broncos in NFL Week 5 at the end of the third quarter, 17-3. They lost, 21-17, with an epic fourth-quarter collapse. We expect that to be a huge wakeup call for Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia as it rolls over a New York Giants team that had five turnovers in a loss to the New Orleans Saints."
Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 9:30 a.m. ET
- Location: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London)
- TV: NFL Network
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL+
- Spread: Broncos (-7.5)
Sporting News: Broncos 24, Jets 17
"The Jets are the only winless team in the NFL. Justin Fields took five sacks in the Week 5 loss to the Cowboys – and the Broncos had six sacks against the Eagles last week. Nik Bonitto leads the NFL with seven sacks. Still, Denver is 1-1 against the spread as a road favorite of seven points or more. Does London count? Will Fields get enough protection in this game?"
Sports Illustrated: Jets cover
"Time to buy low on the New York Jets. They certainly aren't a good team by any stretch of the imagination, but they're better than their winless record shows. They've been able to run the ball successfully at times, ranking fifth in rushing success rate. ... Now, they take on a Broncos' defense that can be run on."
Los Angeles Rams vs. Baltimore Ravens
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore)
- TV: FOX
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL Sunday Ticket
- Spread: Rams (-7.5)
Covers.com: Ravens win big
"The Ravens are 1-4 against the spread this season, and this line clearly points to (Lamar) Jackson missing at least another week. Without him, the score line could get out of hand in a hurry, especially as Baltimore has allowed 37+ points in four of its five outings this year. John Harbaugh is standing by his defensive staff for now, but the situation isn’t likely to get better with Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay coming to town."
Arizona Republic: Rams 31, Ravens 20
"The Ravens have given up 177 points this season, the most in the NFL. That doesn't bode well for Baltimore, even if Lamar Jackson were to return for this game. Matthew Stafford and the Rams' offense will put up some points on the road."

Dallas Cowboys vs. Carolina Panthers
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte, North Carolina)
- TV: FOX
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL Sunday Ticket
- Spread: Cowboys (-3.5)
Sporting News: Cowboys 31, Panthers 26
"Are the Cowboys a NFC playoff contender? Running back Javonte Williams is coming off a 135-yard performance. Carolina running back Rico Dowdle – who played for Dallas from 2020–24 – had a breakout game with 206 rushing yards in Week 5. The Panthers are the classic home-and-road team, and this one is at home."
Vegas Odds: Cowboys cover
"Prescott and Dallas’ attack are far more potent than Carolina’s, and that’s the reason why we believe in their win here. The Cowboys can keep up a high pace on that side of the ball, while the Panthers can’t."
Arizona Cardinals vs. Indianapolis Colts
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis)
- TV: FOX
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL Sunday Ticket
- Spread: Colts (-6.5)
Arizona Republic: Colts 28, Cardinals 17
"The Cardinals have lost three straight games on field goals as time has expired, including Emari Demercado and the team's disastrous collapse against the Tennessee Titans in NFL Week 5. We don't think Daniel Jones and company will need a late field goal to win this one."
CBS Sports: Colts 30, Cardinals 20
"The only good news for the Cardinals this week is that they won't have to worry about losing on a last-second field goal because the Colts are going to win by double-digits. The Cardinals have given up the fifth-most passing yards in the NFL this year, even though they've faced one of the easier QB slates. ... There is no way the Cardinals are going to be mentally recovered from suffering the most inexplicable collapse in NFL history."
Seattle Seahawks vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: EverBank Stadium (Jacksonville, Florida)
- TV: FOX
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL Sunday Ticket
- Spread: Jaguars (-1.5)
Sports Illustrated: Seahawks win
"Very high on the Seattle Seahawks, despite their Week 5 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The advanced metrics love this team ... The Jaguars' defense has been solid to start their season, but their offense has been less than stellar, and Trevor Lawrence's play has been masked by their winning record."
Covers.com: Seahawks cover
"A short week and a potential letdown spot put the Jacksonville Jaguars against the wall. Jacksonville won on Monday but needed to catch a few breaks to edge Kansas City. ... As for the Seattle Seahawks, they sit right up there with Kansas City as the most impressive losers from Week 5. Seattle came out on the wrong side of a shootout with Tampa Bay, due to a costly INT from Sam Darnold late in the game."
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Miami Dolphins
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Hard Rock Stadium (Miami Gardens, Florida)
- TV: CBS
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL Sunday Ticket
- Spread: Chargers (-4.5)
Action Network: Back the Chargers
"The Dolphins have a gimmick offense that's made worse by the absence of Tyreek Hill. Life is just harder for Tua Tagovailoa when he doesn't have Hill stretching the field. As for the Dolphins defense ... the pass defense is especially bad. The rush isn't getting home and that's key against a Chargers team with a banged-up offensive line. ... This is a great spot to back Jim Harbaugh and fade Mike McDaniel."
CBS Sports: Chargers 27, Dolphins 20
"Justin Herbert definitely has the more favorable matchup since he'll be going up against a Dolphins defense that is surrendering a 117.6 passer rating to opposing quarterbacks. To put that in perspective, the highest career passer rating by any QB in NFL history is 103."
New England Patriots vs. New Orleans Saints
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Caesars Superdome (New Orleans)
- TV: CBS
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL Sunday Ticket
- Spread: Patriots (-3.5)
BetMGM: Patriots cover and win
"Week 5 doesn’t change opinions about the New Orleans defense. Entering the matchup against a Giants offense sans Malik Nabers, New Orleans ranked 30th in defensive DVOA. Now the team gets a Patriots offense that really impressed in Buffalo. Josh McDaniels’ offense averaged six yards per play, including 7.9 yards per pass. That should continue against a bad Saints pass defense."
Sporting News: Patriots 25, Saints 18
"New England won two AFC East games on the road, and Drake Maye has a 77.3% completion percentage in those games. New Orleans forced five turnovers against the Giants in Week 5. That won't be as easy knowing the Pats have a -1 turnover differential."
Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Acrisure Stadium (Pittsburgh)
- TV: CBS
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL Sunday Ticket
- Spread: Steelers (-5)
Action Network: Pick the Steelers
"This spot is an absolute gift for the Steelers. They played in Ireland in Week 4 and had a bye in Week 5 while the Browns lost to the Vikings in London. Now, the Browns are on the road once more for a tough divisional game?"
ESPN: Steelers win
"This might be the most favorable scheduling advantage for any team on the 2025 NFL calendar. ... Yes, the Browns will have a significant pass-rushing edge over the Steelers' offensive line, but that ought to be significantly mitigated by the fact that Pittsburgh has the fastest time to release in the league at 2.51 seconds. Plus, you know who also has a defensive line with an edge over its opponent Sunday? The Steelers."
Tennessee Titans vs. Las Vegas Raiders
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 4:05 p.m. ET
- Location: Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas)
- TV: FOX
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL Sunday Ticket
- Spread: Raiders (-5)
CBS Sports: Raiders 19, Titans 16
"If you have a talented running back, he should be able to find room to run against the Titans and the Raiders have Ashton Jeanty, who's averaged nearly 90 yards per game over the past three weeks. With (Geno) Smith struggling, Jeanty will probably be a big part of the game plan this week, or the only part. If the Raiders are smart, they'll just let him carry the ball 57 times."
Sports Illustrated: Raiders cover
"Most bad teams are at least decent on one side of the football, but that's not the case for the Titans. They're bad on both offense and defense, and while the Raiders aren't exactly a good team either, their defense at least has some redeeming qualities, and their quarterback, despite having a bad start to the season, has shown he can succeed at this level."
San Francisco 49ers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, Florida)
- TV: CBS
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL Sunday Ticket
- Spread: Buccaneers (-3)
CBS Sports: 49ers 27, Bucs 24
"Baker Mayfield has played like an MVP candidate through five weeks: He has the third-most passing yards in the NFL this year and he's tied for the third-most touchdown passes. As good as the Buccaneers are at throwing the ball, the 49ers are actually better. Despite using two different quarterbacks this year (Mac Jones and Brock Purdy), the 49ers are still leading the NFL in passing yards per game at 290.6."
Arizona Republic: Buccaneers 30, 49ers 27
"Two 4-1 teams face off in perhaps the game of the week in the NFL. The 49ers had extra time to get ready for this game after beating the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football, but Baker Mayfield and Tampa Bay will pull off some more late-game magic to move to 5-1."
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Green Bay Packers
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: Lambeau Field (Green Bay, Wisconsin)
- TV: CBS
- Streaming: Fubo, NFL Sunday Ticket
- Spread: Packers (-14.5)
Covers.com: Packers cover big spread
"Despite the size, it’s well worth backing the Green Bay Packers to cover. To analyze the Cincinnati Bengals, you need to consider what they’ve become post-Joe Burrow. Since their (starting) QB went down, they’ve been beaten by the Vikings, Broncos, and Lions ... badly. The Packers are 2-1-1, but they’ve looked very good at times, particularly in victories over the Lions and Commanders. They’ve been scoring an average of 26 points per game and have real potential to be explosive with Jordan Love under center, as well as Josh Jacobs and a talented WR corps."
Sports Illustrated: Take the Packers
"The Green Bay Packers are coming off their bye week, and the most recent memory we have of them is playing to a tie against the Dallas Cowboys, but let's not forget just how good this team is. The Packers are seventh in DVOA and third in net yards per play (+1.1). You're a brave soul if you're taking the points in the Bengals at Lambeau Field this week."
Watch Lions vs. Chiefs with Peacock
Detroit Lions vs. Kansas City Chiefs
- Date: Sunday, Oct. 12
- Time: 8:20 p.m. ET
- Location: Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City, Missouri)
- TV: NBC
- Streaming: Peacock, Fubo
- Spread: Chiefs (-2)
CBS Sports: Lions 30, Chiefs 27
"Since Week 2, the Chiefs haven't played a single team that ranks in the top-25 in the NFL in sacks. The Lions have 16 sacks on the season, which ranks second in the league this year. That could be trouble for Kansas City. This game feels like it's going to be a shootout, so ... take the team that has more firepower, and for once, it's not the team that Patrick Mahomes is playing for."
Sporting News: Lions 30, Chiefs 24
"This might be a pick ‘em by kickoff given how well the Lions have played since the Week 1 loss against Green Bay. The Chiefs' front-loaded schedule continues, and Detroit has taken advantage of a plus-seven turnover ratio the last four games. The Lions beat Kansas City 21-20 in the 2023 season opener – so the confidence is there."
Buffalo Bills vs. Atlanta Falcons
- Date: Monday, Oct. 13
- Time: 7:15 p.m. ET
- Location: Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta)
- TV: ESPN
- Streaming: ESPN Unlimited, Fubo
- Spread: Bills (-4)
Arizona Republic: Bills 35, Falcons 24
"The Bills were held to their lowest offensive output of the season (23 points) in the loss to the New England Patriots. Josh Allen and company will bounce back in a big way against the Falcons."
Sports Illustrated: Falcons cover
"The Buffalo Bills were exposed on Sunday Night Football. They are an elite offense that has plenty of issues on defense. Now, they have to take on a Falcons team that's coming off a BYE that has looked extremely strong defensively to start the season. ... The biggest question mark in this game is which version of Michael Penix Jr. will show up."
Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders
- Date: Monday, Oct. 13
- Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
- Location: Northwest Stadium (Landover, Maryland)
- TV: ABC
- Streaming: ESPN Unlimited, Fubo
- Spread: Commanders (-4.5)
Sporting News: Commanders 32, Bears 25
"The Commanders recalibrated their season with the return of Jayden Daniels, and the impact of Jacoby Croskey-Merritt – who had 14 carries for 111 yards and two TDs – opens up exciting possibilities in the running game. Chicago is 2-6 straight up on Monday Night Football since 2020."
BetMGM: Bet on the Bears
"Monday’s game offers a decent sell-high spot on Washington. Although the team won 27-10, Washington turned the Chargers over twice inside their own 30-yard line. Included in that output? A Mike Sainristil interception at the goal line. Washington scored 14 points off those two turnovers. For all of Chicago’s inconsistencies, they’ve taken care of the ball well."
