Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James teased a huge announcement on Monday, leading to speculation that he could be set to announce that he is retiring at the end of the 2025-26 season.

However, instead, James simply announced a partnership with Hennessy.

“In this fall, man, this is tough,” LeBron James began in the ad , which was posted on X. “In this fall, I’m going to be taking my talents to Hennessy VSOP.”

James quote tweeted the post from Hennessy with a wink emoji and crown emoji, and fans were not happy in the comments.
