Back by popular — or unpopular — opinion, depending on who you ask, the 4A/3A Greater St. Helens League will return to its former ways when it comes to football scheduling.

Crossover games between the 4A and 3A GSHL are back for the 2026 and 2027 seasons, said league president Stephen Baranowski, Camas’ athletic director.

At last week’s league-wide athletic directors meeting, the nine ADs representing local 4A and 3A schools supported restoring a week of crossover games for, at least, the next two seasons.

Baranowski said more parity between the local 4A and 3A teams, plus schools’ travel budget constraints make it an opportune time to “go back to this pattern.”
