MASON, Mich. (WILX) - The burn ban in Mason has been lifted as of October 7. Mason residents may now apply for burn permits.
The ban , which took effect on October 1, applied to Mason, Vevay Township, and Aurelius Township.
It prohibited all outdoor burning, including campfires, fire pits, brush burning, and any other fires that produce ash.
During the ban, all existing burn permits were revoked, and no new permits were issued.
