PHILADELPHIA − It's a problem Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio was looking forward to having.
Fangio might get his wish as soon as Oct. 9, when the Eagles face the New York Giants . That's because Fangio said linebacker Nakobe Dean could be activated off the physically unable to perform list and thus make his season debut.

Dean had a breakout season in 2024, with 128 tackles, before tearing his patellar tendon in the Eagles' playoff victory over the Green Bay Packers last January. Dean began training camp on the PUP list, where he remained when the season started. That meant he had to miss at least the first four games.
