Bengaluru: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has announced that several parts of the city will experience power cuts over the next three days. The power outages will take place from October 8 to 10 due to several maintenance and repair works that will be undertaken by the BESCOM.

The BESCOM also stated that the scheduled power cuts are important for improving city’s infrastructure and ensuring stable electricity supply. The maintenance works will include – upgrading transmission lines, clearing vegetation near power grids, replacing transformers, and others.

Bengaluru power cut: List of areas affected

The power cuts will mainly impact neighbourhoods falling under the South and East divisions of BESCOM. The areas are:

Binnypet

Vijayanagar

Rajajinagar

Basavanagudi
