OSCODA – The Oscoda swim team had another home Independent Swim Conference dual on Wednesday. The Lady Owls were competing against Alpena, and they came up short in the event, getting outscored 118-54.
“We are extremely proud of where we are at, at this point in the season,” head coach Ellen Doherty said. “We plan to continue to trust in the process of our training. Most importantly, we’re having fun swimming fast.”
The night opened up with the 200 medley relay, which Oscoda placed second in with a time of 2:24.48, on swims by Kylie Gallahar, Carly Mongeau, Ana Jurgens and Lani Truemner. In the 200 free, Alexis Byrne was second with a 2:40.10 and Ana Jurgens was fifth with a 2:58.14 and Isabelle Schimmer and Bailey McCrea were fourth and fifth in the individual medley with times of 3:12.
