AMES — Iowa State football hits the road again this week for its second straight away game, and this time the Cyclones are heading west to face Colorado .

The Oct. 11 game comes on the heels of No. 21 Iowa State ’s first loss of the season, a 38-30 defeat at the hands of Cincinnati. It caused the Cyclones (5-1, 2-1 Big 12) to tumble nine places in the US LBM Coaches Poll.

There’s no time to dwell on that defeat, though.

Iowa State travels to Colorado (2-4, 0-2 Big 12) for the Cyclones’ last game before a bye week – their second of the season.
